West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove Falcons (Ida Grove, IA), 8-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, West Monona upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Westwood (Sloan, IA) to play the Rebels in a Western Valley game on Friday, June 6. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 2-3. Westwood lost 7-5 in their recent league game against Lawton-Bronson (Lawton, IA)

The Falcons now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host East Sac County for a non-league game on Thursday, June 5. Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove will play a Raiders squad coming off a 15-0 league win over West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.
