The Algona Bulldogs baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Eagle Grove Eagles to 2 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now hold a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Glenwood for a non-league test on Saturday, June 6.
With the defeat, Eagle Grove drops to 1-6 on the year. The Eagles host Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA) to play the Cardinals in a Top of Iowa - West test on Monday, June 8. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 3-5. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura lost 12-10 in their recent league test against Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA)
