New York High School Softball - Saranac bounces Saranac Lake

The Saranac Chiefs routed the visiting Saranac Lake Red Storm softball squad by a final score of 16-1 in Saturday's league battle.

The Chiefs (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Plattsburgh notched a victory over Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 6-3, in a league battle.

The Red Storm now possess a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to AuSable Valley for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle on Tuesday, June 8. Saranac Lake will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 14-9 league loss to Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 7-5.
