The Columbus Sailors baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels to 2 in the Sailors non-league win on Thursday.

The Sailors now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Denver for a North Iowa Cedar - Central test on Monday, June 9. Columbus will clash with a Cyclones team coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Cyclones record now stands at 7-2.

With the defeat, Gladbrook-Reinbeck drops to 2-6 on the year. The Rebels host Highland (Riverside, IA) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league test on Saturday, June 7. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 2-2. Highland won 2-0 in their recent league test against Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA)
