The Humboldt Wildcats baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Southeast Valley Jaguars to 7 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now hold a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sioux City West for a non-league test on Friday, June 6. Humboldt will play a Wolverines team coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Southeast Valley drops to 3-4 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to play the Cougars in a Twin Lakes test on Friday, June 6. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 0-6. Northwest Webster lost 6-3 in their recent league match against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)
