The Starmont Stars baseball team scored 25 runs and held the host North Cedar Knights to 1 in the Stars non-league win on Thursday.

The Stars now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Fayette Valley for a non-league test on Friday, June 6. Starmont will clash with a team coming off a 15-7 league loss to South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA). The record now stands at 0-8.

With the defeat, North Cedar drops to 0-4 on the year. The Knights travel to Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA) to clash with the Irish in a Tri-Rivers - East test on Monday, June 9. The Irish go into the test with a record of 0-13.
