The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) and the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), observed Algona's softball team get by Southeast Valley by a tally of 9-3.

The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The go into the North Central bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was routed by West Fork (Sheffield, IA), 8-0, in a non-league outing.
