The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Riceville Wildcats (Riceville, IA) and the host Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA), observed Riceville's softball team prevail over Northwood-Kensett by a tally of 14-5.

The Wildcats (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against GMG (Garwin, IA). The Wolverines go into the non-league bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, GMG was routed by Collins-Maxwell (Maxwell, IA), 5-2, in a league bout.
