Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their baseball team nip the host Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI), 3-2 in a non-league bout.
The Castle Guards now hold a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edgar for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 13. Washburn will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Pacelli (Stevens Point, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-6.
With the defeat, Solon Springs falls to 1-3 on the season.
