Lake Shore Shorians (St. Clair Shores, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grosse Pointe North Norsemen (Grosse Pointe, MI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Shorians now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Regina for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. Lake Shore will face a squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI). The record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Grosse Pointe North falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Norsemen travel to Renaissance (Detroit, MI) to face the Phoenix in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. The Phoenix enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Renaissance lost 20-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Dearborn (Dearborn, MI)
