The Alburnett Pirates baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Eagle Grove Eagles to 6 in the Pirates non-league victory on Thursday.
The Pirates (11-5) will now prepare for their match against Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA). The Irish go into the non-league match with a 3-8 record. In their last match, Prince of Peace Prep was overwhelmed by Alburnett (Alburnett, IA), 11-1, in a non-league match.
The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their match against North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA). The Bison go into the Top of Iowa - West match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, North Iowa was overwhelmed by Lake Mills (Lake Mills, IA), 4-2, in a league match.
