The Clear Lake Lions crushed the visiting Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals baseball team by a count of 14-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hampton-Dumont/CAL for a North Central bout on Friday, June 7. Clear Lake will face a team coming off a 14-0 non-league win over North Butler (Greene, IA). The record now stands at 3-9.
Next, the Cardinals face the North Union Warriors (Armstrong, IA) in a Top of Iowa - West bout, on Friday, June 7. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 12-5 league loss to Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA).
