The South Winneshiek Warriors the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies softball squad by a final score of 11-7 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Warriors (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against West Central (Maynard, IA). The Blue Devils go into the Upper Iowa battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, West Central nudged North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA), 8-7, in a league battle.
The Huskies now possess a 1-11 record. They play next when they host West Fork for a Top of Iowa-East battle on Friday, June 7. Nashua-Plainfield will meet a Warhawks squad coming off a 9-4 league win over North Butler (Greene, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 6-4.
