The Sigourney Savages triumphed over the visiting Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks baseball squad by a score of 16-0 in Friday's league outing.
Next up, the Savages battle the Keota Eagles (Keota, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar outing, on Monday, June 9. Sigourney will attempt to advance on its 8-0 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 2-4 record after their 12-2 league loss to Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA).
The Tigerhawks (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Plainsmen come into the South Iowa Cedar outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Belle Plaine was overwhelmed by Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA), 7-1, in a league outing.
