The Ames Little Cyclones triumphed over the visiting Creston Panthers softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Little Cyclones play the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars (Ankeny, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, June 6. Ames will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 5-3 league loss to Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).
The Panthers (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Monarchs enter the Hawkeye 10 challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Denison-Schleswig overcame AHSTW (Avoca, IA), 5-4, in a non-league challenge.
