The West Bend-Mallard Wolverines softball squad (West Bend, IA), was routed 15-2 in Friday's league test with the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA)

Next, the Mustangs meet the North Union Warriors (Armstrong, IA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, June 7. Newell-Fonda will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 4-0 record after their 8-0 league win over Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA).

The Wolverines (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Jaguars go into the Twin Lakes test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Southeast Valley toppled Northwest Webster (Manson, IA), 11-4, in a league test.
