The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the host Washington Demons (Washington, IA), observed Prairie's softball team get by Washington by a tally of 3-1.
The Hawks (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Assumption (Davenport, IA). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 7-3 record. In their last bout, Assumption tipped Fairfield (Fairfield, IA), 11-4, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Demons battle the Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 7. Washington will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record.
