The Don Bosco Dons edged the visiting Van Buren County Warriors softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Dons meet the Collins-Maxwell (Maxwell, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, June 8. Don Bosco will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA).
The Warriors (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA). The Ravens enter the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Hillcrest Academy was nudged by Baxter (Baxter, IA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
