The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) and the host Kempsville Chiefs (Virginia Beach, VA), saw Granby's softball squad nip Kempsville by a count of 3-0.
The Comets now sport a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stone Bridge for a non-league match on Friday, June 10. Granby will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Godwin (Richmond, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-5.
With the loss, Kempsville falls to 17-4 on the campaign.
