The West Monona Spartans routed the visiting Cherokee Washington Braves softball squad by a final score of 21-3 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Central Springs notched a victory over Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA), 6-3, in a non-league battle.

The Braves now possess a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lawton-Bronson for a non-league battle on Friday, June 7. Cherokee Washington will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to West Monona (Onawa, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-12.
