The Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) softball routed the visiting Davenport North Wildcats (Davenport, IA), 7-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Hawks (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams go into the non-league bout with a 8-8 record. In their last bout, Southeast Polk held off Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 15-3, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Davenport North falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Assumption (Davenport, IA) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 10. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Assumption won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Wapello (Wapello, IA)
