Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The J-Hawks now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Washington for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 8. Jesup will face a Demons squad coming off a 16-7 non-league win over West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Demons record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Monticello falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 11. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-4.
