In Saturday's non-league test, the St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA) softball squad the visiting Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders (Sioux City, IA), by a tally of 4-0.
Next, the Gaels meet the Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, June 7. St. Edmond will attempt to advance on its 9-2 season record. The Jays go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 9-1 league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA).
The Crusaders (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA). The Black Raiders go into the Missouri River test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Sioux City East held off Le Mars (Le Mars, IA), 5-0, in a league test.
