The Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley NIGHTHAWKS softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks to 10 in the NIGHTHAWKS non-league win on Saturday.

The NIGHTHAWKS now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Unity Christian for a Siouxland battle on Monday, June 9. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley will confront a Knights team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Knights record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn moves to 0-6 on the season. The Hawks host Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to confront the Westerners in a War Eagle battle on Monday, June 9. The Westerners come into the battle with a record of 6-1. Akron-Westfield lost 17-7 in their recent non-league battle against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA)
