In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting North Polk Comets softball team scored a nice 10-1 victory over the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes.

The Comets (10-1) will now prepare for their match against Boone (Boone, IA). The Toreadors go into the Raccoon River match with a 8-4 record. In their last match, Boone was routed by Carlisle (Carlisle, IA), 11-5, in a league match.

In their next game, the Big Reds/Redettes battle the Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA) in a South Central match, on Monday, June 9. Centerville will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Comets go into the match with a 3-5 record after their 4-3 league loss to Clarke (Osceola, IA).
