The Sheldon Orabs softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks to 11 in the Orabs non-league win on Saturday.

The Orabs now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Lyon for a Siouxland battle on Monday, June 9. Sheldon will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn moves to 0-6 on the season. The Hawks host Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to confront the Westerners in a War Eagle battle on Monday, June 9. The Westerners come into the battle with a record of 6-1. Akron-Westfield lost 17-7 in their recent non-league battle against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA)
