Minnesota High School Softball - Winona nudges Academy of Holy Angels

Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Academy of Holy Angels Stars (Richfield, MN), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Winhawks now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Becker for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 9. Winona will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Academy of Holy Angels falls to 5-3 on the campaign.
