The Okoboji Pioneers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Cherokee Washington Braves to 3 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Okoboji moves its record to 2-7 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Wednesday, June 12. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 4-5.

In their next game, the Braves play the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) in a Lakes game, on Monday, June 10. Cherokee Washington will attempt to move on its 3-10 season record. The Tornadoes go into the battle with a 8-1 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA).
