Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Des Moines Christian Lions (Des Moines, IA), 11-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they host Moravia for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 8. Lynnville-Sully will face a Mohawks squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Des Moines Christian falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Earlham (Earlham, IA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 11. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 12-9. Earlham lost 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Interstate 35 (Truro, IA)
