Virginia High School Baseball - Independence gets by Nansemond River

June 9, 2023: Suffolk, VA 23434

Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Independence (Ashburn, VA) and the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), saw Independence's baseball squad beat Nansemond River by a margin of 6-3.

Coming up next, the play the Cox Falcons (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, June 10. Independence will attempt to better on its 18-1 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 22-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Godwin (Richmond, VA).

The Warriors now sport a 16-10 record.
