The Hanover Hawks softball team (Mechanicsville, VA), was nipped 5-4 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA)

The Lions now own a 23-1 record. They take the field next when they host Halifax County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. Louisa County will battle a Comets squad coming off a 13-7 non-league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Comets record now stands at 25-4.

With the loss, Hanover falls to 23-1 on the campaign.
