The Moravia Mohawks baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Central Decatur Cardinals to 2 in the Mohawks non-league win on Monday.
The Mohawks now hold a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Twin Cedars for a Bluegrass - East test on Tuesday, June 10. Moravia will play a Sabers team coming off a 11-2 league win over Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA). The Sabers record now stands at 3-5.
With the defeat, Central Decatur drops to 2-7 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Southwest Valley (Corning, IA) to play the in a Pride of Iowa test on Tuesday, June 10. The go into the test with a record of 2-4.
