The Mormon Trail Saints softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting East Union Eagles to 15 in the Saints non-league win on Monday.

The Saints now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moulton-Udell for a non-league battle on Thursday, June 12. Mormon Trail will confront a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, East Union moves to 4-5 on the season. The Eagles host Lenox (Lenox, IA) to confront the Tigers in a Pride of Iowa battle on Tuesday, June 10. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Lenox won 5-4 in their recent league battle against Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA)
