The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) softball routed the host Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), 9-2 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Monarchs now sport a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Creston for a Hawkeye 10 outing on Friday, July 5.

With the loss, Greene County moves to 4-20 on the season. The Rams travel to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league outing on Tuesday, July 2. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 7-9. Northwest Webster won 10-0 in their recent non-league outing against Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA)
