Next, the Blackhawks play the Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Wednesday, July 2. Hinton will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Jays enter the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 13-1 non-league loss to North Union (Armstrong, IA).

The Indians (6-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Unity Christian (Orange City, IA). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 17-7 record. In their last challenge, Unity Christian overcame Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
