Atlantic Trojans (Atlantic, IA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Treynor Cardinals (Treynor, IA), 3-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Atlantic upgrades its record to 26-12 on the year. The Trojans host St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA) to play the Falcons in a Hawkeye 10 game on Thursday, July 3. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 7-19.

The Cardinals now own a 18-4 record. They play next when they travel to Underwood for a Western Iowa game on Thursday, July 3. Treynor will play a Eagles squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Woodbury Central (Moville, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-22.
