The Exira-EHK Spartans softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders to 3 in the Spartans league win on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pleasantville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 9. Exira-EHK will confront a Trojans team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 17-8.

With the loss, Coon Rapids-Bayard moves to 1-20 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Ar-We-Va (Westside, IA) to confront the Rockets in a Rolling Valley battle on Monday, July 7. The Rockets come into the battle with a record of 7-10.
