The Davis County Mustangs overwhelmed the host Mt. Pleasant Panthers softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, July 3. Davis County will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Falcons go into the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA).

The Panthers (6-26) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Bloodhounds go into the Southeast challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Fort Madison was routed by Centerville (Centerville, IA), 8-0, in a non-league challenge.
