The Humboldt Wildcats got by the visiting Storm Lake Tornadoes baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 24-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spencer for a non-league bout on Wednesday, July 5. Humboldt will face a Tigers team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 19-7.
Next, the Tornadoes face the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, July 7. Storm Lake will attempt to move on its 20-9 season record. The Monarchs enter the bout with a 7-24 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA).
