Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Burlington Falcons (West Burlington, IA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Grayhounds now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Knoxville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, July 8. Burlington will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-13.

With the loss, West Burlington falls to 20-11 on the campaign. The Falcons host Fairfield (Fairfield, IA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, July 6. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 13-14.
