In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Wilton Beavers baseball team scored a close 3-0 victory over the Sigourney Savages.

The Beavers (18-10) will now prepare for their game against Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 4-23 record. In their last game, Camanche by Cascade (Cascade, IA), 15-0, in a league game.

Next, the Savages face the English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar game, on Saturday, July 6. Sigourney will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 0-17 record after their 14-4 league loss to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA).
