In Wednesday's non-league test, the St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), by a tally of 7-1.

Next, the Gaels meet the Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, July 10. St. Edmond will attempt to advance on its 22-5 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 5-18 record after their 10-7 non-league win over AGWSR (Ackley, IA).

The Rams (4-21) will now prepare for their test against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Mustangs go into the Heart of Iowa test with a 21-4 record. In their last test, Prairie City-Monroe was routed by Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 8-1, in a non-league test.
