The North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) softball routed the host Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA), 12-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Comets now sport a 29-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carlisle for a Raccoon River outing on Monday, July 7. North Polk will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 10-2 league win over Ballard (Huxley, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 24-8.
With the loss, Ankeny moves to 11-25 on the season. The Hawks host Valley (West Des Moines, IA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league outing on Monday, July 7.
