Iowa High School Softball - Grundy Center edges West Marshall

The Grundy Center Spartans softball team scored 5 runs and held the host West Marshall Trojans to 3 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 19-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alburnett for a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 9. Grundy Center will confront a Pirates team coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Marquette (Bellevue, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 26-11.
With the loss, West Marshall moves to 21-10 on the season. The Trojans host Nevada (Nevada, IA) to confront the Cubs in a Heart of Iowa battle on Thursday, July 10. The Cubs come into the battle with a record of 3-18. Nevada lost 11-0 in their recent non-league battle against Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA)
