Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN), 8-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Independence moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 6. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clarksville for a non-league test on Monday, August 5.
