The Jefferson Hawks softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting North Linn Lynx to 2 in the Hawks non-league win on Friday.

The Hawks now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Solon for a non-league battle on Monday, July 8. Jefferson will confront a Spartans team coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 15-23.

With the loss, North Linn moves to 26-13 on the season. The Lynx host Lisbon (Lisbon, IA) to confront the Lions in a non-league battle on Monday, July 8. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 24-11. Lisbon lost 7-1 in their recent non-league battle against Davenport West (Davenport, IA)
