Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA), 9-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Kuemper upgrades its record to 11-16 on the year. The Knights travel to Van Meter (Van Meter, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, July 9. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 28-2. Van Meter won 18-3 in their recent non-league game against Saydel (Des Moines, IA)

The Wolverines now own a 5-14 record.
