The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors overwhelmed the host Spencer Tigers softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors meet the Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA) in a Missouri River challenge, on Tuesday, July 8. Sergeant Bluff-Luton will attempt to upgrade on its 32-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the challenge with a 9-28 record after their 8-3 league loss to Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA).
The Tigers (11-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Algona (Algona, IA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Algona toppled Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA), 12-2, in a league challenge.
