The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) and the visiting Melcher-Dallas Saints (Melcher, IA), observed Montezuma's softball team get by Melcher-Dallas by a tally of 8-1.

The Braves (11-12) will now prepare for their bout against Murray (Murray, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 21-6 record. In their last bout, Murray tipped East Union (Afton, IA), 24-0, in a non-league bout.
