In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Gilbert Tigers softball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) in a Heart of Iowa match, on Thursday, July 11. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to better on its 21-4 season record. The Rams go into the match with a 4-21 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA).
